Introduction into Ammonia

Completion requirements

The application of ammonia as a hydrogen carrier is currently being discussed particularly frequently. By combining hydrogen with nitrogen, ammonia is produced, which provides a more energy-dense alternative compared to gasous hydrogen and can be relatively easily handled and transported. In addition, ammonia is already being used in the chemical industry. In this session, we’ll introduce the basics of ammonia as a hydrogen carrier and as a base chemical, including its advantages and challenges. Understanding these fundamentals will set the stage for a deeper exploration of how ammonia can be integrated into the hydrogen supply chain.
